Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was founded in April 1991 as a government-funded agency dedicated to providing aid programs. KOICA strives to combat poverty and support the sustainable socio-economic growth of developing countries. The Government of the Republic of Korea, through KOICA, opened its office in Lima in October 2000 and implemented 3 different technical cooperation programs that are Projects, Volunteer Program and CIAT Scholarship Program, on topics such as Rural Development, Health, Education, Information and Communication Technologies.
Concytec is the governing institution of the National System of Science and Technology and Technological Innovation, SINACYT, made up of the Academy, the State Research Institutes, business organizations, communities and civil society. It is governed by the Framework Law of Science and Technology No. 28303. It presents different units and actions for the promotion of STI, such as the PeruCris platform, which will strengthen the generation of information on the science, technology and innovation system for decision making, as well as for the monitoring and control of actions.
