CONCYTEC
Concytec is the governing institution of the National System of Science and Technology and Technological Innovation, SINACYT, made up of the Academy, the State Research Institutes, business organizations, communities and civil society. It is governed by the Framework Law of Science and Technology No. 28303.
Its purpose is to regulate, direct, guide, encourage, promote, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the actions of the State in the field of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (or SINACYT) and to promote and foster its development through concerted action and complementarity between the programs and projects of public institutions, academic, business, social organizations and individuals who are members of SINACYT. To this end, one of the first tasks to be carried out is to articulate all the organizations and resources of the sector according to the objectives and national development policies established within the laws that govern us and within the policies indicated by our current Government.
Promotes the linkage of the - SINACYT with strategic foreign entities of the public and private sectors, in order to promote scientific research; the transfer of knowledge and innovative practices; and advances in STI.
The National Fund for Scientific, Technological Development and Technological Innovation (or FONDECYT), an initiative of CONCYTEC, is responsible for attracting, managing and channeling co-financing resources to individuals and legal entities that make up the National System of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (SINACYT), for the training of highly specialized human resources and the development of scientific research, the technological application of knowledge and its introduction to the market, and to meet social needs.
It presents different units and actions for the promotion of STI, such as the PeruCris platform, which will strengthen the generation of information on the science, technology and innovation system for decision making, as well as for the monitoring and control of actions. The platform will provide computer support to the National Information Network in STI, with benefits for researchers, SINACYT institutions, the Government and the company; or the VINCULATE platform that seeks to bring research to the market and thus achieve the development of new products or services, knowledge-intensive, with high probabilities of insertion in the global market.
